Elon Musk: Elon Musk announced on Monday that this week, his artificial intelligence company xAI will release “Grok,” a chatbot that competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Grok, which was launched by xAI last year, has characteristics that allow it to access “real-time” data. Customers who pay X $16 a month for a membership can use the service.

To understand what Musk means, we first need to understand what Open Source means. Code that is intended to be publicly available is known as open-source software or OSS. Anyone can use, inspect, modify, and redistribute the source code of open-source software (OSS), which is produced and maintained through collaborative efforts.

The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, and the creator of ChatGPT, OpenAI, were sued earlier this month by Musk, who claimed that they had strayed from the startup’s initial goal of creating artificial intelligence for the good of humanity rather than for financial gain.

Musk stated in November that he was a fan of the idea of open-source artificial intelligence (AI) in a podcast interview with podcaster and computer scientist Lex Fridman. It was in that month when a small user base of the billionaire’s startup was introduced to the AI model.
