Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence venture, xAI, has officially launched its Grok AI service in India, exclusively available to X (formerly Twitter) Premium+ subscribers. The subscription comes for Rs 2,299 per month or Rs 22,900 annually when accessed via a smartphone, positioning it as a premium offering that surpasses the pricing of ChatGPT Plus.
Desktop Subscription Rates for Grok AI through X Premium+
For users subscribing to X Premium+ from a desktop, the Grok AI service is priced at Rs 1,300 per month or Rs 13,600 per year. The availability of Grok AI is currently confined to the top-tier X subscription plan, marking it as part of an early access program.

Despite the higher cost, X Premium+ subscribers enjoy a multitude of benefits, including an ad-free experience on X, blue check verification, monetization capabilities, extended post length, high-resolution video uploads, post-editing, background video playback, video downloads, and more.
Grok AI’s generative language model operates in two distinct modes — fun and regular. The fun mode responds with a playful and light-hearted tone, while the regular mode offers more conventional responses. One of Grok AI’s standout features is its real-time access to data from X, enabling it to provide more accurate and up-to-date answers, particularly on recent trends and developments.
