Zambia has supported the Conceptual Framework of the Continental Strategy on Artificial Intelligence -AI.
This is because the strategy addresses the technological, ethical, economic, security, and social perspectives of AI.
Media and Information Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA says Zambia supported the Continental Strategy because Government was concerned about the possible abuse of AI.
Mr. MWEETWA says Zambia has prioritized digitalization to improve efficiency in service delivery and production systems.
The Minister was speaking during the 5th Ordinary Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Communication and Information Communications Technology -ICT- in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The 5th Ordinary Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Communication and Information Communications Technology was held under the theme “Accelerating digital transformation and advancing communication and advocacy in Africa.”
