Frontier technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) or bitcoin, have become important to e-commerce businesses and, in 2023, e-commerce manager operating in Italy gave insight on foreseen investments on the technologies. The majority, more than 40 percent, plan on making an ordinary management investment, while 26 percent plan on making new investments in the area. However, a little less than 30 percent stated that they do not see any investments in the new technologies in 2023.
