Anticipated for early January 2024, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is poised to redefine the smartphone landscape, emphasising a significant leap in AI capabilities. The flagship lineup, comprising the standard Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, is slated for a likely release on January 17, 2024.

Recent insights from Galaxy Club’s report (via SamMobile) reveal that Samsung strategically prioritises AI capabilities, aiming to surpass the Google Pixel series in this domain. While specific details about the AI roadmap remain undisclosed, indications suggest the integration of functionalities from ChatGPT and Google Bard.

Galaxy Club, a Dutch website, discovered trademark applications in several countries, indicating the Galaxy S24’s branding as an AI phone. Trademarks for titles like ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone’ were registered, emphasising Samsung’s dedication to AI integration. Samsung filed trademark applications in the EU and UK on November 24 for ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone.’ Given the imminent launch of the Galaxy S24 series, these trademarks likely pertain to Samsung’s next flagship phones.

Despite minor design changes anticipated in the Galaxy S24 series, the transformative AI elements are expected to lie beneath the surface, closely integrated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm’s recent emphasis on the AI potential of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip sets the stage.

Confirming its commitment to AI dominance, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy AI experience, a suite of AI capabilities set to launch alongside the Galaxy S24 series. The key question revolves around the practicality of these AI-powered features in real-world scenarios. Samsung’s challenge is to develop genuinely compelling features rather than mere entertainment. As the smartphone landscape evolves, the Galaxy S24 series aims to redefine user experiences with a deep integration of artificial intelligence.
